Programs at Small Miracles

Therapeutic Riding
Our original program, therapeutic riding, is still a core offering at Small Miracles. Many individuals with special needs can benefit from therapeutic riding, including those with: Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Down Syndrome, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, developmental delays, socialization challenges, those diagnosed on the autism spectrum, and others.

Equine-Assisted Learning Program (EAL)
Our equine-assisted learning (EAL) program is a unique offering to our community that utilizes the horse as an aid to engage students. Our EAL programs include:

Work-Based Learning Program provides high school students enrolled in special education classes with sound opportunities to enhance their job skills for future application.

Positive Youth Development is a strength-based program that develops character and educational skills.

Friends Program for teens and young adults focuses on independent living skills and socialization.

Buddies Program provides life skills training for individuals with developmental delays.

HOPE Connection Program (Horses Opening Pathways to Engagement)
Small Miracles offers hope to families and children with sensory processing disorders through positive sensory experiences. Current statistics show that one in every 110 children is diagnosed on the austism spectrum. One in every 70 males are born with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Small Miracles is very conscientious about providing quality and effective services. Program questionnaires and rubrics document post-treatment improvements seen in daily activities at home and school, allowing us to measure outcomes. For more information, please download our Annual Report.
